IRISH ART AND ARCHITECTURE THROUGH THE AGES

What is distinctive about Art and Architecture in Ireland? What makes it distinctive? What have been the key influences? This fascinating topic was explored over a series of six monthly lectures in Glenard University Residence. The series looked at how art and architecture developed in Ireland from the Stone age, the early Christian period through the changes wrought by the Norman Invasion and right up to the present day.

Speaker: Aileen Nic Aodha, Architect

 Aileen Nic Aodha graduated from the Dublin School of Architecture in 2006 and practised as an architect with Scott Tallon Walker. She has a keen interest in the creative arts and has worked on several professional theatre productions. Aileen is also a qualified Speech and Drama teacher.
